The Commercial Kitchen Show 2017 Innovation Challenge saw 22 entries, including the UPster K, go head-to-head for votes from visitors to the show. Ten finalists, with the most votes after the first day, went through to the second round… to pitch live to five prestigious judges.
Paul Anderson, MD Meiko UK, stepped up to impress the judges with the unique benefits of the UPster K… including its integral heat recovery, doesn't require a direct extraction connection; colour coded components making cleaning and training easier; a clear and hygienic glass display with an eye level touchscreen… to mention just a few.
The judges said "What a great looking, ergonomically-designed unit – integrating all Meiko’s high end innovation into one entry level piece of kit,” and to the delight of the audience, they awarded the UPster K rack transport dishwasher Gold.
A delighted Paul Anderson, pictured collecting the award from Group Event Director, Chris Brazier, said, “What a superb award to collect on behalf of us all ...onwards and upwards for the Meiko UK family.”
