"When Steve Hobbs, current FEA Chairman, called me to ask if I would take the position, I was in fact lost for words,” says Paul Anderson.
“I was in my office sipping a coffee and attending a webinar at the time; good job I was sat in my seat as I almost knocked the drink everywhere!
“Sitting on the FEA Council is a great privilege and to be asked to become Vice Chair is a massive honour and not one I could turn down.
“It's a huge distinction both for me and for Meiko and reflects our reputation within the industry.
“I trust I can further enhance our standing and share my lessons learnt to the benefit of both the industry and our foodservice customers – from hotels to hospitals, contract caterers and restaurants to care homes – who are all weathering one of the greatest storms in our collective history.”

FEA has announced several changes to its board. Paul Anderson, managing director of Meiko UK, is to become vice chair of FEA and chair of the Revenue and Marketing committee. Paul was previously chair of FEA's warewashing group, a role that will now be taken by Glenn Roberts, who is sales director at Winterhalter.
The moves come because of the imminent departure of FEA's current vice chair, Simon Lohse, to pastures new. Simon is managing director of Rational UK and is leaving to take up a new position as head of Rational's operations in the Americas.
"It's been a pleasure to work with Simon and I'm sorry to see him go," says Steve Hobbs, chair of FEA. "His commitment and energy have been invaluable. Of course, this is a really exciting opportunity for him and everyone at FEA wishes him the very best for the future.
"Meanwhile I'm delighted that Paul has agreed to take over Simon's roles at FEA. He's one of the most experienced foodservice equipment professionals in the industry and I know he'll do a brilliant job. Similarly, Glenn's expertise and know-how make him the perfect replacement as chair of the Warewashing group."
The changes will take place over summer 2021.
